SPEAKER 1
Mayor Whitmire, council members, I hope you're doing well. I have a short time, so I was here last week and I've emailed everybody here last week. I also emailed you this morning some more information. I'm speaking to you about water fluoridation, which is an outdated practice. What you're looking at, Mr. Whitmire and Mr. Pollard,
0:17
is a federal ruling from a court out of California. I've been one of the few journalists reporting on it over the last seven to eight years. And the court recently ruled that water fluoridation at 0.7 milligrams per liter poses an unreasonable risk of reducing IQ in children. This followed a U.S. government report from May,
0:34
which also said that they had moderate confidence that fluoride exposure is consistently associated with lower IQ in children. There's another study in JAMA in May 2024, Maternal Urinary Fluoride in Child Neurobehavior at age 36 months. And they also said that fluoride exposure increases risk of neurobehavioral problems with children.

On October 22nd, Journalist Derrick Broze spoke with Houston Mayor John Whitmire and council members about the need to remove fluoride from Houston's water.

Discussion about this video

Ask and it shall be given, I've been looking to do the exact same move with a our water board here in the. Bay Area and was looking for an example on what to say, and BAM this pops up in my feed. Thank you.

Question: do you think it's more important to address the city counsel or go to the county water district where one lives. Not super clear on who controls the water. Can a city opt out of the Fluoridation program within a water district? If I find out anything I'll let you know. Thanks again for a great presentation.?

Nicely done Derrick. These so-called "councillors" don't appear to care at all though. Very sad.

Wow....you packed so much into the tiny bit of time allotted to you. Will definitely share this as right now here in New Zealand they have mandated fluoride in the water even though our courts have said that the "Bill of Rights" needs to be considered and it was not.
