The Conscious Resistance Defined

The message of The Conscious Resistance is Essentially This:

The struggle for a more free, ethical, and just world will not come from confronting the physical institutions of power alone. Rather, the fight for individual liberty and collective liberation is two-fold - the fight for liberty in the physical realm, as well as the personal internal struggle.

I call the personal struggle the fight against the internal tyrants, namely, our doubts, fears, insecurities, and limiting beliefs which can prevent us from being the best version of ourselves. Our best selves just so happens to be what the world needs at this moment in time.

I came to the conclusion that the fight for freedom is both internal and external after my own battles with depression, suicide attempts, and drug abuse. After I was sent to prison I began my healing journey, diving deep into prayer and meditation as I discovered my spiritual self.

When I was released in 2008, and started to wake up to the realities of the Drug War, political conspiracies and the crimes of government, I began attending protests, rallies, and marches. I quickly recognized that most of my new activist friends were not interested in the spiritual side of things.

With time I did meet folks who were interested in healing, prayer, meditation, spiritual growth, and the exploration of the world beyond the 5 senses. I attended many meditations, conscious raves, meet ups, etc. However, with time I came to see that much of this crowd did not want to hear about the problems of the physical world. Instead, they preferred to stick their heads in the sand and only welcomed "good vibes".

Neither of these crowds had the full picture and I believed I needed to do my part to bridge this gap.

So, in 2013, I launched The Conscious Resistance Network as a place to host my burgeoning journalism, and explore the spiritual, esoteric, and paranormal. Also, this was the beginning of pushing a specifically spiritual anarchist message as well.

The goal of The Conscious Resistance continues to be helping people realize the necessity for both sides of this equation, and recognizing that government is immoral, ineffective, and dangerous.
