Hello Friends,
Derrick Broze here with a quick UPDATE on the #FluorideLawsuit:
Both sides have rested their cases. All evidence has been submitted to the court.
Judge Chen will review all of the evidence, & next Tuesday at 9:30 am the sides will reconvene via zoom for closing statements/questions.
FYI: I did ask the EPA's expert witnesses if they would do an interview with me. Dr. David Savitz was super nervous, said he needed to talk to the attorneys and ducked out immediately. Dr. Stanley Barone said he cant do interviews without his "Communication Officers" approval and gave me an email to try to follow up. I don't expect a response.
Can't say I didn't try!
Stay tuned tomorrow for a new livestream and article discussing week 2. (In case you missed it, here's my article for week 1 and livestream for week 1.)
In the meantime, I encourage you to read through my live tweets for each day. You can see them conveniently broken down by day and part, thanks to Threadreader (and our amazing volunteer!).
Day 7: Part 1 / Part 2 / Part 3
Day 8: Part 1 / Part 2 / Part 3
BTW, for the last 15 days I've been in San Francisco reporting on the #FluorideLawsuit. I've put in 42 hours in the courtroom alone, not counting time writing articles, doing interviews etc.
If you want to support true indy journalism, please invest in my work.
Thanks for the support. I couldn't do this without you.
Derrick how do you think things will go with this fluoride issue? Do you think that they will continue poisoning our water with this chemical or will they stop putting fluoride in city water? Do you feel that the outcome will be positive?
Is this a good address to drop you a small check?
