Long ago in the 90s I was not able to afford the H.L. Menken Supper Club in swanky West LA, but I could afford to attend the Albert Jay Nock supper club in Long Beach hosted by Samuel E. Konkin III. It was twice as far and half price. I will always recall the generous spirit of Samuel and how he enjoyed the excitement of debate like myself. He wore an Apple Newton around his neck like a amulet of the future. He loved gadgets and the promise of technology. He believed people with enough common sense and determination could form their own community of interest. God Bless Samuel E. Konkin
