Long ago in the 90s I was not able to afford the H.L. Menken Supper Club in swanky West LA, but I could afford to attend the Albert Jay Nock supper club in Long Beach hosted by Samuel E. Konkin III. It was twice as far and half price. I will always recall the generous spirit of Samuel and how he enjoyed the excitement of debate like myself. He wore an Apple Newton around his neck like a amulet of the future. He loved gadgets and the promise of technology.
