Smoking weed is a ritual like smoking tobacco. That is where the danger lies, where the repetitive physical activity can become a habit. If there are ingredients in weed that work for you as an anti-inflammatory for the body and/or a relaxation of the mind, try ingesting it in other forms that do not include the tactile rituals of rolling, smoking, etc. You may find the soothing effect is not from the weed itself but from the routine associated with smoking it. I discovered this when I gave up cigarettes decades ago. I broke down the craving into two habits, the nicotine, or the chemical; and the physical aspect, the routine of smoking as a nervous habit, a crutch when bored or uncomfortable. Being aware of this distinction can help you learn about yourself, dissect the problem, and attack it with the full knowledge of what you are up against. The soothing part of smoking I think comes from taking a deep breath. It is similar to the relaxing effect of sighing, yawning, or otherwise breathing deeply and forcefully exhaling. Meditation and yoga incorporate that activity but keep your lungs clear. I hope that is of some help and I wish you luck. Stay healthy. We need more voices like yours as the predator class uses propaganda and electronics to lead us closer to totalitarian enslavement.

Now there's nothing wrong with smoking weed! I did in my younger years with friends using rolling paper and rolling a joint or we used a pipe made for smoking weed. We had fun doing it but I never did every day! I believe that weed is good for many ailments when used responsibly too. Your body is probably just telling you that it needs a break from it. Our bodies do communicate with us and tells us what it needs. Sometimes we just get in a habit of doing too much of a medicinal good thing. Now as far bringing more children into this world my answer is hell no! double hell no! I'm a 58 year old woman today and I decided not to have any children when I was very young. Mainly probably because my parents were divorced when I was 7years old! My father screwed around on my mother every chance he got. After my parents divorced my mother got custody of me and my mother stayed bitter and angry all during my childhood. I didn't have a good relationship with my mother because of that. I didn't have a relationship at all with my father because of the way he treated my mother. He got visitation rights with me and I never wanted to go spend time with my father but I got made to go. My mother would always tell me "well he's your daddy!" 🙄 I was like "so" 🤷‍♀️ I had to tolerate spending time with my father. Do I regret not having any children, no I don't! I'm just thankful that the Creator gave me enough intelligence not to have any, besides what kind of world are you bringing children into today? With our US government hating "we the people" and working against the people and doing the bidding of these satanic globalists its just a matter of time before we're all enslaved! So no! Don't do that to any more innocent children by bringing them into this fucked up world! Just look how many children run away from home or wind up with CPS. CPS is involved in child trafficking too. This is not a world fit to bring children into and raise! I'm sorry for being such a Negative Nancy but that's looking at things with open eyes and facing reality in this fallen world. I don't think things are going to get any better!

I don’t regret having kids. I love my boys but I completely support your right not to cause you and Miriam can decide what is best for you both. I know you’ll be good either way. I do believe you both would make great parents but maybe that’s not your path. One deep question though, are you quitting smoking weed simply for yourself or ARE you contemplating having kids and not smoking as much? I’ve appreciated your work Derek for some years now. Thanks for all you do.
